Epiphany Experience

The Epiphany is traditionally celebrated on January 6. It's the day we remember the Magi coming to reverence God among us, and the day that God was revealed (epiphany - ἐπιφάνεια) to the whole world, not just the chosen people.

My epiphany story is about CSJs gathered for year end retreat:
  • 20 gathered at the Carondelet motherhouse in St. Louis,
  • 14 gathered at our retirement center at Nazareth in St. Louis, and
  • many more gathered around 35 internet connections across the US, and one in Gulu.
We're not sure of the total number that gathered for the event, but we felt ourselves to be one as we reflected and prayed about being and becoming the Community of the Great Love of God.

Comments of participants:
  • Just wonderful!
  • We are ONE!
  • The Double Trinity will come alive in my life in the future.
  • Thanks so much for making this happen. Have a peaceful night.
  • Thank you Sr. Helen for sharing your daily prayer with us. It brought tears to my eyes.
  • Thank you for sharing the mystical dimension of our union with God.
  • Lisa, thanks for sharing your prayer, reflection with us.
What a great experience of prayer, reflection and sharing. Response was positive and we all hope to give and receive the blessing of Love in 2011.

Peace,
Amy

  1. I live in California and I listened to Sr. Lisa and Sr. Helen's talks this past weekend, courtesy of Sr. Sarah. I have to say I was moved by both...thank you for this opportunity...I am not a CSJ at this point, but please tell them I am grateful! I also thank you, Sr. Amy, for pulling the technology together!
