Happy Feast

Happy St. Joseph's Day to any and all. It couldn't be more beautiful. St. Joseph's Academy, an all girls' high school founded and sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph, always has the most beautiful liturgy on this day. We sisters are invited to the mass, and, after the homily, face the sea of young women and publicly renew our vows. Seeing as I am still in initial profession, I simply omit the word "perpetual", the rest is the same. The young women here are incredibly talented. Such singing!

Now, I am off to the Botanical Gardens to enjoy God in the sunshine, flowers, and families who have the same thought.

Joseph isn't mentioned that much in scripture at all, but what we do know is the integrity with which he lived, his generosity of spirit, and his depth of prayer and relationship to God. I don't know how the whole God coming to people in dreams thing works, but I think it can only be through a consciousness and whole-body giving towards which I am constantly called that Joseph must have nearly perfected.

On this day of oasis in the midst of Lent, may a spirit of fidelity and courage reign/rain.

P.S. To those of you who are faithful followers to the blog, you might remember a posting just after Christmas about the crazy game of Clue my family plays (if not, check back in the archives), an update: the game continues. That's all I can say right now.

Peace.
