Teaser Appreciated

For an August afternoon in Mississippi, today was incredible! The weather was amazing, sunny with a cool breeze. Some friends here in town saw my picture in the paper riding my bike home from school and invited me to join them on a bike ride this afternoon. Twenty miles was a bit more than my usual mile to school and mile back, but I kept up well. I'm sure I'll feel it tomorrow. The volleyball girls will all wonder what is wrong when I'm not out there pacing their usual Monday mile run tomorrow.

But, it really couldn't have been more glorious. The roads we rode were full of farm homes with gardens and animals. I couldn't not slow as I passed a pond with a blue heron perched on a rock. The green and the shadows and the air...a God-spoil for which I was most grateful.

Back to school tomorrow. Work and volleyball will make for a busy week. Kate is home for a few days between Glenmary meetings and vacation, so hopefully we can be home together a couple of nights. So much for which to be grateful--ALWAYS.

Peace.
