Our fearless leaders/question maker-uppers Chance and Lori. (Really, I had been waiting as I was taking pictures that night to take one of the two of them together and never could manage. This is kind of a posed picture from the next morning. But, you get the idea.)
Did I mention how much fun it was?!
As for this week, it has gone quickly. With Martin Luther King Day off school and a faculty day on Tuesday (which meant I got to watch much of inauguration day), that left only three days with students. I love teaching! Having had taught elementary school before I wasn't sure how much I would like high school, but my students are a lot of fun. I love to make them think and talk and challenge themselves to learn more. Track started also this week. My legs are tight from racing the sprinters (yes, the boys) in a 400 at the end of practice (I think three beat me, but I didn't do too badly), but I love that, too.
For now, I'm headed back to school for the basketball games. We have a small gym, so I'm hoping there will be room when I get up there. To the big city to drop off some recycling tomorrow. If I'm going to drive that far, I'm thinking I may as well see a movie while I'm there. Who knows what the day could hold...
Peace and all things good.
