--Pope John XXIII
We're approaching several national gatherings of Sisters of St. Joseph that will occur between July 4 and July 13. There are actually three back to back gatherings of varying configurations of CSSJs. There are three different organizing teams and it's been a challenge to figure out what's happening when and such.
As we look to the CSSJ emerging future, we're hoping that this gathering will be an opportunity to deepen some online conversations that we've had over the past several months.
As this conversation continues, I find that many of us who have become Sisters of St. Joseph since the federation started have had a strong sense that this federation would provide us with the forum for the emergence of a new way of being Sisters of St. Joseph. The conversation has continued through the decades and is coming into a level of maturity.
As I look forward to the Federation Gatherings here in St. Louis next week, I sense that we are at an important point in the unfolding story of the Sisters of St. Joseph. We will have an opportunity to share face-to-face with our facebook conversation partners, and others who are interested, in Jefferson D meeting space in the Millenium Hotel from 2:30 to 5:00pm on Saturday, July 9, 2011, before the opening event. We also invite Sisters of St. Joseph who could not be here to join us online:
- See www.ahereford.org/emergingcssj for details on the online forum
- Join us also for an online celebration of Founder's Day the 366th anniversary of the gathering of the first six women in Le Puy, France. More information on this event is at www.ahereford.org/cssj
And so the conversations continue....
Peace,

Just found your blog!I like it!!
ReplyDeleteI am a laywoman who is transitioning from 22 years as a DRE to a new and totally unrelated ministry! I feel called and God is leading so your quote from Blessed
John XXIII is spot on.
Hope to meet you in St. Louis.....though not at the fair! I'm super excited about the Federation Event...I have a feeling there are many good things in store for the little design!!
